Mystery Shopping
This involves visits to store or any retail location to measure and report on customer service and sales standards at the point of purchase. Visits can either be 100% covert with no mention being made to store staff that a visit has been completed, or covert and revealed, whereby following completion of the transaction a report is made on the spot. A commonplace activity in the retail environment for many years, but now a much valued means of assessing service standards across a wider spectrum of service requirements including business to business.
